About the role

To provide a safe, organised and planned complex, centralised operating and maintenance service within the Grid for high voltage plant and associated equipment.

Executing maintenance
Providing an operating service to HV plant
Ensuring compliance with safety, health and environmental policies
Providing a repair- and breakdown service.
Mentoring and coaching of learners and employees
Providing an advisory service
Performing documentation and configuration management
Requirements
Competencies

Leadership - Team player, coaching, mentoring, developing
Knowledge - plant, equipment, local operating procedures & requirements, certificate to execute maintenance according to HV Plant verification requirements, planning procedures, operating procedure, switchgear maintenance according to HV Plant verification requirements, work site requirements, Operating Regulations for for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS) and Occupational Health and Safety legislation.

Requirements

Education: Trade Certificate - Electrical (heavy Current) at NQF4 with 120 credits
Experience: 3 years electrical experience
