About the role

Position: General Manager Engineering Position/Task Grade: GM (EEE) Business Unit: Head Office Department: Group Capital Division-Engineering & Commissioning Area of specialization: Reporting to the Group Executive Group Capital, the General Manager Engineering will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and responsible for the engineering area’s outputs.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy formulation and strategic direction for engineering.
Leadership of Eskom engineering for operational and new commercial Transmission plant.
Manage the designs, specifications, integration and evaluation of engineering equipment, components, systems and plants for modification and new assets.
Resource, financial and performance management.

Requirements

Qualification(s)
BSc Eng or B Eng Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Computer/ Civil/Chemical/ Metallurgical/ Industrial Engineering at NQF level 8 with 480 credits.
Related Minimum Experience
10 years’ experience significant proven engineering integration skills at a senior level for large organisational projects.
Professional Registration
Registration with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
