About the role
To provide a safe, organised and planned first line maintenance service within the Grid in respect to HV Plant and associated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities
- Operating Service HV Plant.
- Performing HV Plant maintenance.
- Doing substation inspections
- Mentoring and coaching of learner artisans and learner operators
- Adhering to SHEQ requirements
- Documentation and Configuration Management
- responding to non-outage related activities
- Condition Monitoring
- Competencies Required (includes internal training)
- 1) Behavioural
- Integrity, honesty, trust worthiness, professionalism
- 2) Leadership
- Coaching , mentoring , team player, developing
- 3) Knowledge
- Plant, equipment
- Local operating procedures requirements
- Certificate to execute maintenance according to HV Plant Certification requirements
- Planning procedures
- Operating procedures
- Switchgear maintenance according to HV Plant Certification
Requirements
- Trade Certificate Electrical - (Heavy Current) at NQF 4 with
- 120 Credits
- 2 years Electrical related experience
