About the role

The Department of Correctional Services is hiring 2 Network Controller posts in Infrastructure and Telephony, based in National Head Office. This is a permanent post, paying R338,106 a year. Responsibilities

• Provide desktop /server support.
• Install and maintain Transversal system (BAS, LOGIS, PERSAL).
• Detect and repair faults on LAN/WAN, PC’s, peripherals, network points and software.
• Monitor and connect IP Telephony and Video Conferencing.
• Management of resources.
• Management of performance information.

Requirements

• National Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or Computer Engineering (NQF level 6) as recognised by SAQA.
• A+, N+ and Security + will be added advantage.
• 1-2 years’ experience in IT and network environment.
• Valid driver’s licence.
