About the role

The Department of Health (Limpopo) is hiring a Deputy Director: Supply Chain Management, based in Pietersburg Hospital. This is a permanent post, paying R932,292 a year. Responsibilities

• Management of SCM bid committees, disposal committees, and contract negotiation committees.
• Management of commitments, Monitor compliance with Supply Chain Management Legislations, policies, procedures and related subscripts.
• Asset and Inventory Management as well as Contract administration.
• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports in line with the reporting requirements.
• Management of staff.
• Management of audit action plan.

Requirements

• Qualifications and Experience: A National Senior Certificate /Grade 12/Matric plus NQF Level 6 in Supply Chain Management/Financial/Logistics/Cost and Accounting Management or equivalent qualification at NQF level 6 as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority [SAQA].
• At least five [5] years relevant experience in Demand and Acquisition Management of which three (3) must be at junior management or Assistant Director level.
• Computer literacy including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Virtual meeting platforms literacy.
• A valid driver’s license except for people with disabilities.
• Knowledge And Skills:
• Hands-on approach on tenders
• Acquisition administration
• Asset management and contract management
• Knowledge, understanding and application of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act (BBBEE), Supply Chain Management (SCM) guide to Accounting Officers and Related Legislation.
• Good leadership and communication (verbal and written) skills, presentation skills, budgeting skills, computer literacy and knowledge of legal aspects in Supply Chain Management.
