Responsibilities

• To facilitate and support the coordination, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the implementation of the Municipal Finance Management Act.
• To facilitate and support the coordination and effective implementation of the MFMA and related policies.
• To facilitate the monitoring, supporting and reporting on the implementation of the MFMA and supporting regulations.
• Contribute and participate in stakeholder engagements to enhance MFMA Compliance.
• To facilitate the Coordination and Monitoring of Municipal Capacity Building Programmes.
• Facilitate the Coordination of Knowledge Management, Research, and Best Practice Sharing.

Requirements

• A three year-tertiary qualification (NQF level 7) in Accounting/Financial Management/Public Finance/Public Administration/Economics/Local Government Finance/Auditing/Commerce or related field.
• 3-5 years’ experience in municipal oversight, MFMA compliance monitoring, capacity building, stakeholder coordination, and support interventions and/or related environment.
