About the role

The Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport (Mpumalanga) is hiring 3 Road Operator posts. This is a permanent post, paying R170,226 a year. Responsibilities

• Operate specialized equipment.
• Load and off load goods/equipment.
• Inspection and maintenance of equipment and report defects.
• Keep log sheets of vehicles machineries, Application of safety and precaution measures.
• Cleaning and lubrication of machinery equipment.
• Grading of gravel roads and re-graveling /shoulder maintenance.

Requirements

• Grade 10 (NQF Level 3), together with the appropriate plant operator certificate and valid driver’s license Code EC.
• Occupational Health and Safety certificate for the equipment to be operated will be an added advantage.
