About the role

The Department of Public Works, Roads and Transport (Mpumalanga) is hiring 2 Boiler Operator posts, based in Bohlabela Lydenburg (Re-advert); Nkangala. This is a permanent post, paying R201,093 a year. Responsibilities

• Ensure Safe Boiler operation in the hospital, ensure correct usage and flow of chemicals, monitor the steam pressure constantly, monitoring the water/fuel level in the boiler, ensure adherence and compliance with Occupational and Health Standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, perform administrative functions and supervise Boiler Assistant.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate recognised National Steam Certificate and Experience as Boiler Assistant.
• Knowledge.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Knowledge of Occupational and Safety Act (OHS)
• Skills- planning, organising, verbal and written communication skills
• Candidate must be willing to work overtime and be on standby
