About the role
The Department of Health and Wellness (Western Cape) is hiring a Linen Stores Assistant in Facility Management, based in Head Office, Cape Town (Laundry Services Tygerberg Laundry). Responsibilities
- Provide effective, efficient, safe hygiene and cleaning practices within the laundry.
- Provide a support service to Linen Supervisor.
- Daily unloading of soiled linen from trucks.
- Daily loading of trucks.
- Return of clean linen to linen bank.
- Packing of shelves in Linen bank.
- Sorting of soiled linen under the supervision of the Linen Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience: Appropriate Laundry and Linen experience in a Central Laundry setting.
- Inherent requirement of the job: Physically fit to do manual labour.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills.
