About the role
The Department of Health and Wellness (Western Cape) is hiring a Staff Nurse Grade 1 to 3, based in Sonstraal Hospital. This is a permanent post, paying R229,440 a year. Responsibilities

Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
- Registration with a professional council: Registration with SANC as Staff Nurse.
- Experience:
- Grade 1: None
- Grade 2: at least 10 years’ appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse
- Grade 3: at least 20 years’ appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse
- Inherent requirements of the job:
- Willingness to work shifts, night and day shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime when necessary
- Willingness to work in all wards
- Competencies (knowledge/skills):
- Good communication and interpersonal relationships
- Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies of the Department of Health Western Cape
