The Department of Health and Wellness (Western Cape) is hiring 2 Dental Specialist Grade 1 to 3 (Prosthodontics) (5/8th) posts in Metro Health Services, based in Oral Health Centre, Tygerberg/Mitchells Plain. Responsibilities
- Related HR and Administrative support to the Prosthodontic Department.
- Participate in operational research activities as directed in a team or selfinitiated research.
- Rendering of prosthodontic services on the MPOHC and TBOHC platforms.
- Clinical education and training of students (undergraduate and postgraduate).
Requirements
- Minimum educational qualification: Appropriate qualification that allows registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics.
- Registration with a professional council: Registration with the HPCSA as Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics.
- Experience: Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA as Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics.
- Grade 2: at least 5 years appropriate experience as Dental Specialist after registration with the HPCSA (or a recognised foreign Health Professional Council in respect of a foreign qualified employee) as a Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics.
- Grade 3: at least 10 years appropriate experience as Dental Specialist after registration with the HPCSA (or a recognised foreign Health Professional Council in respect of a foreign qualified employee) as a Dental Specialist in Prosthodontics.
- Inherent requirements of the job: A valid driver's license (Code B/EB).
